Spencer Mallot smiles with a degree of accomplishment after looking back at four years well spent. Mallot is one of Oviedo High School’s top ten seniors for this school year. It is a rigorous thing to achieve that costs a lot from the student who actually does it. “I’m very proud of the position because it shows how much work I’ve put into my academics.”

Caralina Denis leans on a wooden fence, reminiscing to their talents in “cutting”, a style of Western horseback riding. Denis has singlehandedly managed to balance both the hobby and academic worlds, while achieving tenth place in their class. It is unsurprising due to the dedication and effort they boast.

For Miller, college is the right path, especially since their future career will be in STEM. “After high school, I plan to attend the University of Central Florida, and major in Biological Science Pre-Med,” said senior Ashleigh Miller. “Hopefully, through this path, I will end up going to med school, and figure out my future in medicine.”

It is one of the main alternatives to college, as it provides valuable skills for those more geared towards trade crafts. “I don’t plan on going to college after high school, because I want to become a welder,” said Senior Amari White. “Trade school will help me achieve this, and I also plan to become an engineer or an entrepreneur.”

Caden is one of the top ten seniors this year, a glorious achievement that is only given to the highest performing students in each graduating class. “I like challenging myself. You know, I dont like being in a class where I already know the material. Well, I know whats going to happen because its just boring and stuff. So I always try to be taking something at my level or even beyond it.”
