Things To Do Over Spring Break

Laura Cruz, Reporter

Spring break is almost here, warm weather is just around the corner, and a whole lot of time to do whatever. Most have absolutely no plans over break so here are some places to consider…

Visiting the beach, living in Florida all your life, beach visits happen pretty often but the beauty about living on a panhandle is that there are sooo many. And they are constantly changing due to seasons and time.

Going to a theme park, even if someone has financial struggles there’s always the choice of visiting Disney Springs. This section of Disney is absolutely free excluding the food and parking.

Florida always has some kind of field whether it’s strawberries or some other fruit. Here in Oviedo there’s a field called Poppy’s Patch where you can pick as many strawberries as you like.Oh yeah, imagine eating fresh picked strawberries. Nothing beats that. And sometimes there’s strawberry festivals where there’s rides, games, and lots of good food.

There’s also lots of other festivals and other fun events that happen here in Florida during the month of March. These events go from exhibiting flowers to watching artists draw on sidewalks.

The annual sixty third sidewalk art festival will be held in winter park on March 18-20. This festival is one of the largest art festival in the nation. The variety of arts and crafts the festival shows brings thousands of visitors each year. The event is organized with lots of booths by very creative artists.

Universal Studio is having multiple concerts over the weekends of spring break.

During Spring Break there will also be a Central Florida Fair which will be open during the first weekend of the break. The Fair will be located in the following county’s:

Orange, Seminole, Volusia, Lake, Osceola and Brevard County.

There’s so much to do when it comes to the sunshine state.
