On January 16, students attended an after-school glow-in-the-dark pep rally in support of Boys Basketball and party after the challenges are over. To get in, the ticket was to wear a neon shirt. Students also brought colorful glasses and SGA handed out glowsticks.

King of the jungle: Senior wrestler Matthew Buhl pins his opponent in Oviedo’s Robert W. Lundquist Gymnasium. Pictured behind Buhl are his teammates, including many seniors dressed in formal wear, which is a team tradition for senior night. Buhl won his match, contributing to the team score of 175 and eventually a team dual win.

Team environment: A group of girls that showed up to day 2 of flag football conditioning break down their “Lions on 3” cheer. Five days of conditioning took place before the two days of official tryouts on January 29 and 30 for the team. During those five days, the participating girls were trained in speed, agility, and change of direction drills.

Time out: Head boys varsity basketball coach Ian Young talks game strategy to the team during a time out in a home game against the Lake Brantley Patriots. The Lions ended up beating the Patriots 48-31. Senior Caleb Pennyfeather contributed to the win with 12 points, 13 rebounds, and 3 blocks.
