NBA Playoff Update

An Update from the Disney’s NBA Bubble

The NBA Conference Finals are about to begin in a way we have not seen before. Round One of the playoffs saw many of the expected teams make their way into the Conference semifinals. But the way they made it in was also interesting.

The first team to win their way into the Conference semifinals were the Boston Celtics, who swept the series against the Philadelphia 76ers. The Toronto Raptors were the second team to win their way in, sweeping the series against the Brooklyn Nets in dominating fashion.

Up next, the Miami Heat showed why they belonged in the playoffs; winning the series against the Indiana Pacers without losing a single game. The Milwaukee Bucks also won their way into the Conference Semifinals, winning against the Orlando Magic with a single loss.

The Los Angeles Lakers were able to beat out the Portland Trailblazers, with a record of 4-1. The Los Angeles Clippers advanced into the semifinals with their win against the Mavericks, winning the series with a record of 4-2.

The final two matchups were also the closest. The first was a difficult comeback by the Denver Nuggets to claw their way back from being down 3-1 against the Utah Jazz. They were able to fight back up to 3-3 and get the win in game 7, with a score of 80-78.

The final matchup was the Houston Rockets against the Oklahoma Thunder. The Rockets won the first two games, but the Thunder fought back, and evened the series at 2-2. They both took turns winning, putting the series at 3-3 going into game seven.

It was a very close game to the finish, but the Rockets ended up winning by a margin of two points.
Going into the final few games, the only teams remaining were the Boston Celtics, Toronto Raptors, Miami Heat, Milwaukee Bucks, Denver Nuggets, Los Angeles Clippers, Houston Rockets, and Los Angeles Lakers.

Going into the final few games of the Conference Semifinals, the Miami Heat already have won their way into the Conference Finals, winning against the Milwaukee Bucks 4-1. They’re the only team to advance their way into the Finals at this time of writing.

The Boston Celtics and the Toronto Raptors are tied 3-3 going into game 7. This will most likely be a close game as most of the other games have been in this series.

The Los Angeles Clippers have a big lead over the Denver Nuggets, with a 3-1 lead. The Denver Nuggets were able to claw back from 3-1 earlier in the playoffs, so don’t count them out of it.

The Los Angeles Lakers have a lead over the Houston Rockets with a 2-1 lead going into game 4. The games in this matchup have also been close. Both of them have very good players.

The Lakers have 3 time NBA Champion and 4 time MVP Lebron James on their roster, along with star power forward Anthony Davis. The Houston Rockets have James Harden who serves as both a point guard and a shooting guard. They also have Russell Westbrook, who was traded last year.

The 2020 playoffs might be one of the most competitive we’ve seen in recent years. A lot of teams have a chance to win the championship. It all comes down to these final few games.
