Recapping the summer of 2022’s music

The summer of 2022 was anything but dull for the entertainment industry. Multiple large concerts were held, providing music enthusiasts with something fun to do. Some big events include Bad Bunny’s new album and tour, Kendrick Lamar’s tour with Baby Keem, and Rolling Loud.

Bad Bunny’s new album, “Un Verano Sin Ti”, was a great drop for the Spanish music community. The album has 23 songs with an array of vibes. From “Yo No soy Celoso” with its laid back melody and heart broken lyrics, to “Titi Mi Prengunto” that’s about how he has many girlfriends, is unable to fall in love, and is a heartbreaker. The album’s sudden popularity allowed it to spend an entire 11 weeks on Billboard’s Hot 100. His ongoing tour has also recently been performing in Orlando venues.

Accompanying Kendrick Lamar on tour was special guest Baby Keem, who has recently skyrocketed in fame. Kendrick performed an array from his discography, including his most recent album “Mr. Morale and the Big Steppers”, as well as his most popular songs from earlier in his career, like “Money Trees’ ‘ and “Alright”. The cousins also performed their recent songs together from Baby Keem’s most recent album “The Melodic Blue”. The show was set up to feel like a counseling session between Lamar and a female narrator. They had constant dialogue and their performance was truly a masterpiece.

Rolling Loud happened at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami with some of the biggest artists in the industry. Included were: Future, Lil Uzi Vert, Kanye West, Playboi Carti, and more. West had actually pulled out of the concert and was supposed to be filled in by Kid Cudi, but decided to make a last minute surprise appearance. Despite the drama, he gave an amazing performance.

This three day long festival is definitely the concert-of-all-concerts. People traveled from all across the country to see their favorite artists all in one spot and it was definitely a great end to a spectacular summer.
