Reel Fish Coastal Kitchen and Bar is by far my favorite restaurant in the Winter Park area. This modern seafood restaurant is known for specializing in seafood from both Florida coasts. My family and I have been going here for years and it has never once disappointed me.   

The service, ambiance, and food are always top notch and is what keeps us coming back. When you arrive there is the option for both outdoor and indoor seating. I prefer their outdoor dining due to the fresh air and nicely lit dining area. 

Due to the food being very farm to table, they always have something new to try on the menu and will often switch it up. They do of course still keep certain items on their menu permanently. 

As a starter on the menu, I prefer to order their fried calamari. The calamari is a perfect shareable option everyone will love, and is even more delicious when lemon is squeezed right on top. 

For those who prefer a lighter starter to their meal, I highly recommend their raw or cooked oysters. Though I’m not the biggest fan of oysters, they get ordered every time we have eaten at this restaurant. When ordering you may pick a half dozen or full dozen, and they are accompanied with cocktail sauce, cucumber magnotti, and lemon. 

As for the main course I always find myself ordering the cheesy grits topped with fried chicken and collard greens. This combo has always been one of my favorites and I’ve never been quite able to find a place that put it together so perfectly. 

Another one of my favorites to enjoy is their “Florida Shrimp and Cheesy Grits”. The dish is usually served as shrimp placed over a bed of grits with Tasso ham gravy, but I prefer to have the gravy on the side and use whatever sauce that falls from the shrimp. 

One of the last dishes my family enjoys is their fish over risotto with vegetables. The tricky thing about their risotto however, is it may not always be available to order. 

Overall this restaurant is great if you’re looking for good, welcoming and chill ambience, and amazing service.
