During this time of the year there are three types of people, those who love Halloween, can only think about Christmas, and the ones who don’t care. Obviously the third one is not an option, there are only two sides to choose from today. 

Which holiday is superior? Or in simpler terms, Halloween vs. Christmas, A question that has existed for centuries, I interviewed a few people to find out which wins the popular vote. 

First we have sophomore Daniel Restrepo, “Christmas makes me feel more joyful and happy. Halloween is just fun for the moment.”

 Someone else with a similar opinion was sophomore Jorday Evans, “Christmas brings so much more memories than halloween does, i always have more fun during Christmas season so i think it’s better.” Then of course there’s the halloween side of the argument. 

Sophomore Uriah Williams was the first person I interviewed and he was very passionate about his side, he was actually a little annoyed I was asking about Christmas this early, “Right now it’s October, we shouldn’t even be thinking about Christmas let alone start decorating, plus thanksgiving exists why can’t people focus on that before Chirstmas.” Junior Isabella Perez also had a lot to say on this subject “people literally start Christmas celebrating in October, not even November and it’s really annoying to see”.

Christmas is obviously the superior holiday. However, October should have its small moment before we can get to the best holiday of the year, Christmas.
