O’Glow’s new replacement: the Neon Jungle
This story was originally published in the first edition of The Lion’s Tale (October 1, 2019).
With the legacy of Oviedo High School’s annual paint party, O’Glow, being cancelled, word circled the school about what would be taking it’s place. Many students and faculty are wondering what student government has in store for the replacement event and if it would be just as great as the original. “We’re definitely sad that O’Glow was cancelled, but we do understand that there were some concerns from the county and we respect their opinion on that,” biology teacher and Student Government Association leader, Heather DeLong says.
There aren’t going to be many changes to the original O’Glow format, but the biggest thing people will see missing is the lack of paint, a staple of the event for over the past 10 years. This is an ongoing story, stay tuned for more details.
