Oviedo defeats Winter Springs 21-0 at first game

Oviedo High School recently hosted their first home football game of the fall season, as well as the first game played on the new turf, on the John Courier Field. The game was played on Friday, August 23rd, which started at 7p.m and lasted till around 9p.m, vs. Winter Springs High School. The first quarter of the game started out fairly dull, with the score remaining 0-0 up until the end of the second quarter. Quarter-back Walker Adkinson (#10) makes a 15-yard touchdown pass to Keith Nemasango (#14) scoring the lions 7 points with a perfect field goal.
After an amazing half-time performance from the OHS band, the team would go on to score another 14 points by the end of game, with a final score of 21-0. The student section was going wild, as well as the parents and supporters in other areas of the bleachers. The dance and cheer teams were just as energetic as the start of the game, rejoicing about the big win. The OHS football team is sure to have a great season after the big win of the first home game.
