While some choices don’t have any effect on the overall plot, such as choosing a cereal or music type, others affect the plot in tremendous ways. In order to choose the an option to progress the story, a black bar with options is displayed on the bottom of the screen and the viewer has 6 seconds before the story chooses for them and progresses. The viewer just needs to press the arrow keys on the remote to choose.
